New York, New York, October 14, 2009
Azzurro HD has been awarded the procurement and management of a video transport fiber service to enable Korean Broadcasting Network (KBN) to access both their Cablevision and Time Warner Cable distribution affiliates. KBN needed to distribute their signal to both Cablevision, and Time Warner Cable in New York. They came to Azzurro as the hub between the two cable MSO's, the Azzurro solution utilizes a managed service from Optimum Lightpath powered by the T-VIPS TVG420.
Azzurro provides an ASI circuit to Cablevision in Parsippany New Jersey using T-VIPS TVG420 ASI transport as a managed solution provided by Lightpath. Utilizing the Lightpath offering KBN delivers their program feed to Azzurro HD's all digital, Manhattan-based and HD-enabled Video HUB, where Azzurro monitors and routes the signal to Cablevision and Time Warner. Once the signal is delivered to Cablevision they decode it back into an analog signal, and it is then distributed.
Mark Lowden, Azzurro HD's Vice President of Sales states: "This project was an ideal way for Azzurro HD and Azzurro Systems integration to combine our skills and experience to develop a custom solution to meet the needs of our customer. By choosing first class partners like T-VIPS, Lightpath and MediaXstream we developed a one-of-a-kind solution that delivers the highest quality in broadcast standards."
